Letting Others Be Who They Are

We judge others by our own expectations. Expecting no more or less than what we expect from ourselves, but is this fair to others. We are not seeing them for who they are but what we choose to see. We may miss what they have to offer when we have already prejudged their potential. If we were to let others be who they are, then we may be pleasantly surprised at the gifts they bring to the world. We are human to expect others to be like ourselves, but we are also compassionate beings to want the best for the people we love and care for. Today, let others be. Release them to be themselves and to live life with no expectations. It is your gift to yourself and to others, to be the best you can be and to let others do the same.
There is peace in the stillness...

(It's difficult not to have expectations in others. It's human nature to want to help others and want them to do well. But I set myself up for disappointment when others don't meet my expectations. I have to constantly remind myself that everyone is unique and they will reach their destiny in their own way. Seems to work for everyone, but my children. I need to work on this.)
