I Am Here

There are times when life gets so busy that we're not sure where we are. We become so scattered that we are only capable of handling what is in front of us. We worry about what happened yesterday and are dreading what we've scheduled for tomorrow. How are we to focus on what we are doing in the present moment when our mind is so unfocused? It's difficult to concentrate when we are so scattered. Gathering our thoughts should be a priority but we've become too busy to stop and organize ourselves. That's why we sometimes need to remind ourselves where we should be. Even to say "I am here." with conviction. Being in the present, we can see more clearly where we have been and where we are going. Today, appreciate where life has brought you. If you are not where you want to be, then with determination and conviction of living a better life, make today the day you begin to move forward. You are here now, but tomorrow you will be where your heart desires.
The beauty of it, makes me sigh...

(I am the worst person to talk about the present. I'm so in the future that I've moved on before the moment has finished. I have a difficult time appreciating the here and now that I do have to remind myself the importance of where I am. Today, I saw this tatoo on this guy's wrist and all it said was "I am here." That was it. Bold lettering, no fuss. Just a reminder to where you are. I loved it. I'm not saying I'm going to get tatooed but it was awesome. Maybe I can make magnets and stick them all over as a reminder to be in the moment.)

Taking A Leap Of Faith

There may be times when you're unsure whether or not you should step outside your comfort zone. Just knowing what makes you comfortable is an important key in making decisions. From that point, you can stretch yourself a little bit at a time. Challenging yourself to take advantage of opportunities which you may have not even looked at because they were so different from what you normally have experienced in the past. Sometimes, we may not have a choice but to take a leap of faith. When there is no time to think but to act, what will you do? Would you believe in your abilities to achieve whatever you seek? Go ahead and take that step which will lead you closer towards your destiny. Today, be at peace within yourself. There is no time but the present to attain your dreams.
It doesn't matter where this leads to...

(I think life is about taking a leap of faith. What is one person's leap is another person's baby step? That's why I try not to compare myself with others, otherwise I'll never be happy with myself. I have leaped alot these past couple of months, that it's a wonder I'm not dizzy. I guess it's been that kind of year. In the year of the snake, nothing stays still.)

Follow The Leader

For many of us, we let others influence who we are. It's easier for us to follow what society decides what is normal than it is for us to follow our own unique journey. Sometimes, we don't have the strength or energy to do our own thing. Standing out, being different comes with it's own challenges that we don't want to deal with. Not really knowing what being different really means, we shy away from listening to our own spirit. At one point in our life, we may begin to question whether following others is worth not being true to ourselves. What does it take to become who we are meant to be? I'm not sure if anyone can really say. Each of us has our own path to walk which is made up of the decisions we make and the consequences that come with our actions. All that can be said is that by following others, you may never find the leader that exists within yourself. Today, do something different. Whatever it may be, have a unique experience. Life is made up with special moments that you find along the way.
Follow me and see where I lead you...

(I never thought about following others. I guess it's because I'm so structured. If I don't make the rules, then how do I know where I am going. I guess it comes down to trusting others to know what's best for me. No, that doesn't sound right either. Maybe there is a time and place for leadership, but right now is not the time.)

The Art Of Conversation

Often times what we hear is not what is meant. There is so much miscommunication when we assume what others are saying to us. Because we come from our own experiences, we can only understand what we've learned from the past. How can something so simple be misunderstood? When someone speaks to us, how well are we listening or are we filling in the spaces with meaningless words.  We don't aways have to rush to fill in the silence. Learning the art of conversation is the key to a successful relationship. Today, just listen. You don't always have to say something. Sometimes contributing to the conversation can mean just being a good listener. Understanding the meaning of what is being said is all that is asked of you.
Beauty of the mountains...

(If we only open our eyes, what beauty can we see. When I saw this picture, I really missed living in the Northwest. I know I need to be where I am at this moment, but that doesn't make it any easier. I guess that's what life is about. To acknowledge that although we may be missing something, we understand that there is purpose in our life at this time. To feel better, I tell myself that I can always visit the beautiful Cascades.Q-Thanks for the great pictures of your Spokane trip.)

Being Happy

Being happy may be a goal for many of us, but how we define happiness may be different for everyone. Again our perception comes into play. We are guided by our own understanding of what makes us happy. We can easily define the word by looking it up in the dictionary, but what does it matter if we know the meaning but can't incorporate in our life. One of the reasons defining it may be difficult may be that it's more of an emotion or feeling than a finite thing. We can't attain happiness by just going to the store and buying it, although there may be a few people who find happiness going shopping. Being happy is an ongoing effort and evolves over our lifetime. When we find happiness, we need to truly appreciate the experience, for it is a special moment in our life that hopefully will linger with us for awhile. Today, find joy in your day. By learning more about yourself, you will be able to define what will bring you happiness.
Sometimes we need to look between the trees to get the best views...

(I find the word happy is not enough to express what I'm feeling. It's such a soft and sweet word. Sometimes what I feel is so much bigger than this. But if happy is the word to use, I guess that is where I am at this time.)

Facing Reality

Reality is somewhere between what is and what your perception is of what exists. No matter what anyone tells you or what you see, you will only believe what you perceive to be true. Is that a subjective view of what is occurring? Absolutely, but there is no deliberating after you have made up your mind. Perception is a funny thing, for no one is ever going to see the same thing as you. That is why there is so many communication problems in relationships, how can you explain to someone what only you believe to be true. But yet, there is a purpose for that. How willing are you to listen to others with an open mind, compromising what you see as reality. Facing reality is not only standing up for what you believe, but being humble enough to say that you may not always be right. With an open mind and heart, you will experience what true reality is. Today, think about how many times you've changed your mind because of what others have shared with you. How flexible are you in accepting that there may be more beyond what you know to be true? Face reality knowing that it is always evolving and will bring opportuntities that you never expected.
Whaling ships were a reality in the 1800's...no longer

(When I first read this message, I thought reality is what it is. Scientifically, we can prove almost everything. But I understand, in thinking about it more that what we perceive is our reality. I can be explaining something that is so clear in my mind, but my daughter always calls me on it saying that she has no clue in what I'm saying. Frustrated as I get, I now understand. It's funny how much more we can learn if others are honest with us.
Q- thank you for setting me straight. You've learned to do it so well without making me feel bad.)

Seasons Of Life

Although at first glance our life may reflect the seasons in the year, it may be more complicated than that. The seasons usually describe the stages of life, but they can also express what we are currently experiencing. Even if we are in the autumn stage of our life, we may be living in winter weather. We are stagnant and unable to move because everything around is at a standstill. Communication is poor and we're unable to make any progress. It would be best for us to bunker down at this point and use the time to do more planning since nothing is happening. Using the seasons is a good way to understand where we are in our life and what we need to do in order for us to be more successful in our ventures. By understanding what season we are in, we'll know what to do. There is no sense in going outside to ride our bikes, when there is a blizzard brewing. By assessing what season we are in, we can prepare for anything. Today, dress for the weather. If you are comfortable with yourself, you will be more at peace where ever you are.
Have a seat and make yourself comfortable...

(Intuitively, I think we can all gauge what season we are in. Sometimes, I get frustrated when I get stuck in a season for awhile and see nothing in the horizon. That's when I have to remind myself that I'm here for a reason. Whatever it may be, I am learning something even if it's hindsight. Being at peace with myself, is the answer no matter what season I am in.)

Finding Comfort In Sile)nce

There are moments when silence offers us comfort. It covers us like a soft blanket, protecting us from the chaos that surrounds us. No matter what we are experiencing, when we remove ourselves from the noise which no longer makes sense, we find peace. When we cease speaking and listen to the voice that comes from within us, we'll be surprised at what we hear. In the silence, we understand who we are and who we are becoming. In the quiet, all will be revealed. Today, just listen. You will be surprised at what is really being said under the words that have been spoken so lightly. There in the silence, you will hear the meaning of all.
 Silence is bliss...

(Not feeling well, quiet is so healing. Just sitting in silence, I feel like I'm healing. Chicken noodle soup and crackers help alot too. It's funny how silence can be deafening sometimes, but it also can be so welcomed. I think I'll just relax for awhile.)

Dig Deep

When there is nothing else within you that you can call upon, where do you go from there. There is a rythmn to life, which we quickly adapt to but at times we find ourselves being out of sinc. We no longer feel that we're able to accomplish much and question whether we are still moving forward on our path. In times like these, we need to dig deep within ourselves to pull out our reserve energy. This will help us to go the extra mile and see ourselves beyond where we ever imagined ourselves to be. Today, seek your reserve. You have the ability to dig deeper and challenge yourself. Know that you can achieve whatever you envision, you just need to believe in yourself.
Sit with me for awhile...

(Sometimes when I'm not feeling well and I still have so much to do, I find that I have this reserve of energy that sees me through. Although I believe in taking care of myself and slowing down when necessary, there are times when my responsibilities and committments challenge me. I'm lucky that I don't usually have this kind of pressure, but it's good to know that I have something to call upon if I need to. I think we all underestimate the power we have within ourselves.)

If I Were A Color

Although we say that we know ourselves pretty well, sometimes we get into moods that we can't explain. When someone asks how are we doing, we respond with "I'm fine". But thinking more, this could be further from the truth. There are so many ways to describe how we're feeling, but we can't seem to put our finger on it. But if we were asked to choose a color that would describe how we're feeling, it would be much easier for us. Colors can also calm our spirit by creating a feeling of peace. The use of color is another way to expess ourselves more easily. Today, what would be the color that describes you best. Think of those who you care for, send loving colors their way. Use colors to your advantage and you'll never be at a loss.
Just follow me and you'll be fine...

(I think this message applies to people who are visual. Sometimes, I have difficulty describing how I'm feeling, so thinking of a color really helps. In fact, colors are really useful in describing people. They also help me to understand them a little better. The use of color is a science I wish I knew more about. I guess just acknowledging it's power is the first step of understanding it's importance in my life.)

Reflect, Rejuvenate, Renew

Sometimes in life when we've lost our way, we begin to stumble over ourselves. Where do we find our purpose, when it takes so much energy just to breathe. It makes sense that we're feeling off beat, when we find ourselves missing the natural rythmn of life. In order to be in the moment, we reflect on what is, rejuvenate the passion that is hibernating, and renew our commitment to what was once important to us. Today, trust yourself to know what is needed in your life. It's okay to take a breather every once and awhile, but know when it's time to get back into the game for life is for the living. When we awake our spirit, then anything is possible.
Let's just sit for now...

(It's not that I enjoy being on hiatus, but it seems a natural part of life. I believe there is a time for everything, including the feeling of being lost. When I finally get my rthymn back, I feel as if I have a better understanding of where I am going. Being lost is not a bad thing, if you know that where you end up is a better place than where you were. Although a lot of things are going on for me at this time, I think I'm still in reflection mode. Pausing is where I am.)

Knowing Where I Belong

For some of us, we may not know where we belong, but we do know what doesn't feel right. Belonging doesn't always have to do with being attached to a physical place, but a feeling of being comfortable with ourselves. If we believe and trust in ourselves, it doesn't matter where we are or what is going on in our life, we know we'll be all right. There is comfort knowing that we are not bound by our environment. No matter what we are experiencing, we know that this too shall pass. There is freedom knowing that we can all achieve a sense of belonging if we listen to the spirit within us. Today, seek the peace you are searching for. When you learn to trust your feelings and listen to what your heart tells you, you will then know where you belong.
There is beauty in all things...

(I think a sense of belonging is more complicated than we know it. For some, they live their whole lives searching for a place to belong, when belonging may be only a frame of mind. I think at this time, I have found that I belong where I am. My sense of belonging comes from my believing that I am where ever I need to be. Hopefully, where I end up next is as beautiful as where I am right now.)

Cleaning House

Before we know it, what we have accumulated over the years has piled up so that we're not even sure what is there. Can it be that we've collected so many things that we can hardly remember what they were? When does that which had so much meaning become meaningless. Not all that is material is toxic to us, we are also holding on to emotional debris. There is so much that we should disgard but keep close to us for fear to let go would be too painful. Neither the clutter of material or emotional baggage will help us to move freely. Release all that binds us to a place where we should have been long gone. By cleaning our home, we will find peace within our spirit. Today, it's time to take out the rubbish. Look around and within you and see what no longer serves purpose in your life. Living in a clean home, you will be able to move around more freely. It's time for you to live the life you envisioned.
We can find peace within the garden...

(What is it about cleaning house that makes me cringe? In fact, my husband is better at cleaning than I am. There is only so many excuses I can give before I need to get started to task. I've found over the years that living a simplistic life helps in not accumulating so much. This would include not holding on to emotional debris. But no matter how much I clean, I always seem to bring in more things. That's life.)

Seeing Your True Reflection

We are not the best judge of our own character. We may believe that we are something that we are actually not. What we think of ourself may be what we'd like to be, but it's our actions and words that reflect the kind of person we truly are. Even then, we may excuse our bad behavior by telling ourselves that there are reasons beyond our control. Who then is the best to judge our character since we are not doing such a good job in monitoring ourselves? We don't have to look very far to see our true reflection, it's reflected in the faces of those we interact with everyday. In the faces of others, we will see who we truly are. Today, do some people watching. People have no idea of how they come across to others because they are too busy concentrating on themselves. Now as you interact with others, see your true reflection.
Anyone for pizza...

(I thought the message was going to be about looking into a mirror and seeing myself, but it makes sense that I would be too subjective if I was looking at myself. I would be too harsh or too defensive, either way I would find it difficult to be really honest with myself. But I have no control over how others react towards my words and actions. There is a point between their initial reaction and their polite respond that I can capture my true reflection. I wonder if I am truly who I think I am.)

Celebrating Life

When life isn't working out the way we'd like it to, there doesn't seem to be a reason to celebrate. If that is how we are truly feeling, then how do we find the light when all is dark. We don't. Celebrating life is not ignoring or putting aside the challenges we are going through now, but embracing them. It's trusting that what we are experiencing is what makes us stronger and helps us walk on our path. Finding a place within our hearts to appreciate what the universe has given us will give us a reason to celebrate. Today, take a break. Sometimes you are so hard on yourself that you're not letting yourself just be. Celebrate life, by celebrating who you want to be.
Playing in the sun...

(Sometimes it's difficult to find joy when life hits me harder than usual. But the universe always surprises me when I least expect it. Miracles that I find along the way, that make me smile and laugh even through the roughest days. I can only take one step at a time and believe that I am moving forward, heading towards... I'm not sure at this time but it'll be there waiting for me. Let's celebrate together.)

The Truth Will Be Revealed

Most of us view others through rose colored glasses because it's easier than dealing with the realities of life. It's difficult enough trying to see through the pretense that others hide behind, than to figure out who they really are behind their masks. If we were to take people at face value, how many of us would recognize what was real and what wasn't. Have we developed the skills to read beyond what we are shown. This year, we will find that the truth behind the masks will be revealed. What is the truth, but a reflection of our spirit. It is one thing to recognize the truth and another to know what to do with what we have just discovered. Many of us will be in a position that our values will be challenged. Are we willing to accept and ignore what has been shown to us? It is time to learn what truths lay within ourselves and accept others for who they truly are. Today, see beyond the masks. Whether you like what you see or not, recognize what is there. When the truth is revealed, know that the spirit that was once hidden is now vulnerable and can be shown compassion.
Let me just sit by the ocean for awhile...

(The truth is a funny thing. On one hand, I want to know the truth but on the other, it's pretty scary. There are so many hidden factors that can go wrong or hurt me that sometimes being in the dark is bliss. That's why I think that the truth has it's place in my life if it comes in intervals. But I know that the universe has other plans for me, so I have to be ready for whatever is revealed. Believing that the universe has my best interest in mind is my salvation.)

We Are All One

Although there are days in which we feel that we are alone, there is always someone that is connected to us in some way. We may believe that everyone stands alone, but at some point even they are in need of help. It is this need, this interconnection that we have for each other that binds us together. We are not as invidual as we may think, but we are tightly bound by our need for each other. Our world would not exist if not for our relationships with each other as people, communities, and countries. It is our interdependence that keeps us all strong. We are all one, and that one is us. Today, is a day to celebrate. Knowing that you will always have someone to support you whether you have met that person or not, will bring you comfort. As you help others, you will receive in return.
How many people does it take to grow this garden...

(This taro patch looks so easy to maintain, but it takes many hands to keep the plants flourishing. Everyone works together to keep the water flowing and the plants nourished. The end result feeds so many within the community. I can't imagine growing such a well maintained garden. I guess we all have our speciality, that's why we are interconnected. I think it's best, otherwise if I was assigned to the gardens we would starve.)

The Spirit Within Us

When hearing stories of unbelieveable bravery or courage, we may wonder where does this extraordinary strength come from. Is it that they are truly different from us or have they tapped into something within themselves that gives them the ability to overcome whatever seems to bind the rest of us? If there is such a source of power within us than why can't we access it? But what if to access it, we would first have to believe that there is something there. That's where most of us get lost. For within us all, our spirit lay waiting to guide us through our journey. Just believing in the possibility that there are opportunities waiting for us, opens our spirit to all that our heart desires. Today, know that you are unique. What you gain in your life will be different from others, so as you walk on your path remember that all your experiences whether good or bad have made you what you are today. The spirit within you has already served you well.
There is beauty found where ever you go...

(So many times when I take a picture, I'm taking what I think is going to be a great shot, but I can never predict what will come out. Of course there something to be said about the reality of being in the moment, but capturing something that seems almost spirtual is awesome. I'm blessed in so many ways, but I still need to be reminded that I've seen nothing yet.)

The Gift Of Joy

Sometimes life get so predictable that we are doing things on automatic pilot. Our schedules have been set so there is no planning involved, in fact it would disturb us if things were to change. But what happens when life gets so routine, that we lose the joy that we once found in what we do. We begin to do things because it has always been done that way. If we were to deviate from what is, it would disrupt the pattern that we have created. We have become rigid in our thinking and way of life. If something were to change, how flexible and accomodating would we be. Thinking about doing things differently might bring a loss of control to the safe life we created. But the universe creates havoc at the most unexpected times so that we are forced to adapt. But in adapting, we may experience the gift of joy. Today, do something different. Open yourself to a new experience that will bring joy into your life.
How many of us are prepared...

(I'm a planner and find more comfort in the routine, but on occasion I've had to adapt to the situation. Okay, more occasions than I'd like. But I think as a planner, I plan for the unexpected. There is joy in doing even the most routine things, if I keep my eyes open to what the universe may have planned for me. Everyday is a joy! S- Hope all is well in Boston. Thanks for the pictures.)

Accepting Others

How many times have we thought that someone was not living up to their potential? How frustrating to see them wasting their lives away? Or are they? Could it be that we are imposing our own expectations on them because of the personal standards we hold? Are we accepting others for who they are? It's difficult to truly know what others are about because we have not experienced what they have nor do we know what they strive to be. All we can do is to create a persona based on what we have seen and heard which of course is not accurate. Would it be possible for us to concentrate on realizing our own potential than to critize others for not attaining theirs. Accepting others for who they are would be are greatest gift to them. Today, believe in yourself. As you become more comfortable with who you are, you will see that it is not for you to tell others what you do not know. The knowing will come when there is an accepting to let others just be.
Sometimes the path seems longer than it is...

(I think more about the journey than I do about reaching the goal, because in life it often changes. It's like running on a path which seems to go on forever. If I were to concentrate on the end, I would be defeated before I began, so I enjoy the path itself. Whether it's looking at the beautiful Koolau mountains or the whales off Wailea, it makes my run more enjoyable. So accepting others for who they are is part of my journey and theirs.)

Rejuvenating Your Spirit

There are times in life when you need to stop and rejuvenate your spirit. You are constantly on the go, taking care of your responsibilities and obligations that you forget to rest until it's too late. You tell yourself that you will slow down after... But soon it's much after the time when you were supposed to take a breath and that did not happen. Like the many other times you said the same thing, you continue to spin like a top. It's not unusual behavior, most people continue to lead busy lives and later regret the life that they miss. It's time to truly stop and do a quick assessment of your life. When was the last time you did something to take care of yourself? Has it been so long that you've forgotten when it was? Know that your body and spirit will keep up with you, until they decide to stop on their own. By then, hopefully you would have gotten the message that it's never the wrong time to care for yourself. You are the key to your success. Today, take the time to rejuvenate your spirit. The busyness of life will always be waiting for you to pick up where you left off.
Fruits are works of art...

(I find working rejuvenating, so to slow down and rest is difficult for me. I understand that I need to give my body and spirit a rest, but I know I'm one who likes to keep going. I'm learning everyday to pace myself. For it's all about balancing my life that will truly rejuvenates my spirit.)

Angel Messages

Sometimes when we least expect it, we receive angel messages. There is no warning ahead of time, so we may miss them if we're not careful. Our lives are sometimes so chaotic or busy that it wouldn't take much for us not to hear these special messages. But that's when they come, when we're questioning our life. We send prayers to the universe and ask for help because we are lost and without direction. Do we ever stop to think that the universe would respond to our pleas? If we believe enough then why wouldn't we receive answers to our questions. If we open ourselves to the impossible then we may hear the angel messages that are being sent to us so that we can continue our journey with peace in our hearts. Today, listen. You'll be surprised at what messages will come to you and how they may change what you believe in yourself. When you learn how unique you are, you will see your purpose much clearer.

Messages can come from everywhere...

(I received my angel message today. It came from such a strange source, but it did it's job. It was confirmation that I am where I need to be, to be who I will become. Although life has it's ups and downs, we seem to remember only the downs. Today was a reminder that we are an accumulation of all our experiences and that's what makes us special. P - thank you so much for being you.)

You Are Where You Are Supposed To Be

So many times in our lives, we question whether we are where we are supposed to be. This usually comes up when we are feeling frustrated because our life is not going the way we planned it. We try to control the direction that our life is going, but sometimes nothing goes the way we anticipate. If we always feel as if things could be better or that we are missing something, then our life will never be enough. We will go through each day feeling as if we are lacking something. The universe has a plan that is beyond what we can forsee. It is with trust and faith that we understand that all we experience in our past, present, and future is part of the bigger picture. Let go of the control and live life to the fullest, for we are all where we are supposed to be. Today, appreciate your circumstances. You are blessed to be in a position to balance your mind, body, and spirit. Live in the moment and be joyful for you are always where you need to be.
How far will you go for the best banana bread on the island...

(Actually, we went around the island to get the bread near Kahakuloa. After we past a few landslides, pot holes the size of half the road, and a dozen water falls, we finally found our pot of gold. You never know if they'll be open because they don't have regular hours or a phone. But we were lucky and were greeted with a friendly smile and warm, moist banana bread. Of course, we ate half a loaf right there. Life is as simple as you make it. I intend to continue simplifying mine. Q - the next time you come, we'll take you there.)

What Are You Listening To?

We are often so busy that we are unable to hear what is happening around us. We hear only what we want to hear and ignore the rest. In our lives, we are constantly being bombarded by noises and we learn to discern what is rubbish and what is not. But what if we are filtering out messages that are meant for us, but we determine them to be useless information. How much insight into our lives are we missing? What if we were to begin listening carefully to all the sounds that surround us? To be sensitive enough to hear even the stillness that sometimes seems deafening. If we open ourselves to what the universe is trying to share with us, we would be able to experience so much more in our lives. Today, just listen. Take a moment to be still, for in the stillness you will find the miracle that you have been searching for.
There is beauty in the stillness of nature...

(There are so many times when I have had to filter out what was going on around me. There was so much chatter that I trained myself to ignore what was outside of what I felt was crucial to my knowing. But now I'm finding that I am having to retrain myself to open up more to what surrounds me. For it's in the chaos that I will find the answer to the question that I haven't let my self ask. That's why I love the quiet when I go walking. It's in the quiet that I will learn to hear again. B - thank you for the beautiful picture of Alaska.)

If You Can Dream It

There are so many things that we dream about attaining, but how many of us actually think they can come to fruition. It's not that we don't work hard at attaining our goals, but we lose part of the illusion that we've created. For many of us, dreams begin to fade away as soon as we are faced with the realities of life. But the truth is that if you can dream it, you can create it. There is something within us that can actually visualize our dreams. If we push aside our doubts and fears, which are always lingering around us, we can achieve anything including attaining what our heart desires. Know that your dreams are only a fear away. Today, what is something that you'd like to achieve in your life. For the coming week, visualize yourself actually having it. Then at the end of the week, think about how it worked for you. Is this something that you can truly see as part of your life? If it is then, start working towards attaining it. Remember if you can dream it, you can create it.

Let's walk together...

(I walk this path everyday and it was something that I created. I wanted to find a path that would calm my spirit at the end of a busy day and give me positive inspiration. Watching the waves, paddle boarders, and whales makes me feel joy no matter what my day was like. Everyday that I walk on this path, I appreciate what the universe has brought to me. No one's life is perfect, we just have to find perfection within ourselves. R - thank you for discovering this path for me and to appreciate it through your eyes.)

Foreseeing The Future

There are many of us that wish we could forsee the future. Just imagine the advantage we would have if we knew what was going to happen. We would be ready for anything that comes our way and there wouldn't be any surprises. But what good would that do because by knowing what will happen in the future, we have already changed the present. We would no longer have the same reactions knowing that in the future it wouldn't matter. That in itself changes our interactions and relationships with others, places we may visit, decisions we make. So maybe when we glimpse into the future, we are only seeing our life at a point where there hasn't been any changes to our present. Remember that our past and present experiences create our future and that is something worth appreciating, because that's what makes us the unique person that we are. Today, cherish the moment. Make the best of the present for it will surely bring the future that you desire.
If you look really close you can see a double rainbow...

(There are times in my life, when I have to really slow down or I'll miss some really great things. My daughter pointed out this double rainbow one morning. Since I hardly ever see such a full rainbow, I was impressed with that alone. That's when she said "Can't you see the other one?" Actually I couldn't, but then I wasn't looking for it. But there it was, it was awesome. I think that's what happens in life, we only see what we expect to see. Sometimes, we need others to help us see what our eyes alone are missing.)

All Is At Peace

No matter what is going on in the world at this time, all is at peace. Although there always seems to be something going on around us that creates chaos, we can find a quiet place where we can be still. The question is how are we going to respond to what is happening. If we were to react to everything that changes around us, how stable would we be. Keeping our balance when the world is in flux is something we need to strive for. When we create a calmness within ourselves no matter what is going on, then all is at peace. Today, be all that you'd like to be. Let nothing stop you from reaching your dreams, for sometimes that is all we have. You deserve to live your heart's desires.
Come walk with me...

(As I walked along the beach this afternoon, it dawned on me that no matter what is happening in my life, I am at peace. It's been a long road and I know that there is much more ahead of me, but for now I'm okay and all is at peace.)
