Hearing Our Own Voice

We often times feel that there is a need to speak loudly so others can hear what we have to say. In a world filled with millions of people, how else can we be heard unless we shout. We learn to be assertive so our voice won't get lost in the growing crowd. In our struggle to be heard, we may lose some of the purpose of what we want to say. If we stop for a moment and be still, it may come to us how we've let our need to be heard take over who we are. It's more important that we hear our own voices and the message we are trying to convey. If our message is sent with true intentions, we don't have to shout for others will hear it loud and clear. Today, believe in yourself. Think carefully when you speak, for your words have power to change the way things are. Know that you can speak softly and you will still be heard over the shouting of others.
How can we be heard if we don't yell...

(Sometimes I get caught up in the moment where I just want my voice to be heard. I don't have anything all that important to say but I want to be part of the discussion. I guess that's when I should be quiet and listen. I need to improve on that.)

In The Stillness

There are times in life, when the world is quiet and we are at peace. In these precious moments, we are somehow able to see our path a little more clearer. We not only feel the universal energy, but we are more open to those who help guide us through our journey. In the stillness, we are able to recognize not only our strengths, but the weaknesses that we try to hide. At the moment, we become one with the universe, all is revealed to us. Treasure these rare moments with appreciation. Today, be still. As the world moves quickly around you, quiet your mind, body and spirit. Allow yourself to be at peace.
Let's just sit and enjoy the moment...

(Being still is one of the things I definately have to work on. It's either that I'm doing something or sleeping. There is nothing in between. Although I am committed to quieting my mind this year, I know I'm in for a lot of napping. Oh well, it's for a good cause. ZZZZZZ)

Giving Up Control

Life has so much to offer that sometimes it can be too overwhelming. We are given so many choices that deciding what path to take now becomes confusing. Just when we feel confident that we know what we are doing and where we are going, we look around and we're surrounded by so many things that continue to distract us from moving forward. How do we know what is best for us? Sometimes the hardest thing for us to do is to release the control over our life. Trust the universe to guide us along our path, we will then exerience peace. Today, set your own pace. Be true to who you are and you will know know in your heart that everything will be okay.

Take the time to buy yourself some flowers and make your life a little brighter...

(Sometimes I need to take better care of myself. It's not about buying things, but learning more about who I am and what makes me happy. Someone asked me what I do for fun. It was sad because I couldn't think of anything...I'm still thinking. Does reading count?)

Knowing When To Stop

Sometimes we are so determined to control our destiny, that we begin to design our own path because we can't wait for the universe to guide us. Why then should we be surprised when our path becomes difficult and chaotic. It's frustrating and upsetting when we want things to work out so much, but it's as if we are hitting a brick wall at every turn. It's times like this, that the best thing is knowing when to stop and let the universe take over. When we realize that there is so much beyond our control, we can then begin to live life. Today, release your control. Take a step back and see what comes to you. Your path is filled with opportunities that are waiting just for you.

Instead of going through the brambles, you can often just go around...

(Sometimes I get so hard headed. I keep working on something even if I know it's not working. I get tunnel visioned and I can't see outside of what I'm doing. Tonight, I asked myself "What am I doing?" after working 2 hours and getting no where . Well, better late than never.)

Accepting Our Life's Purpose

When we ask "What is my purpose in life?", are we really open to hearing the answer? For in receiving the answer, we will then have the responsibility of fulfilling our purpose. Are we ready to dedicate our life towards service to others? If we knew our life's purpose, would we accomplish more than what we are doing at this time? Sometimes the not knowing may be a blessing in disguise because we then can explore life with abandonment. The many paths we walk on, lead us closer in discovering what our life's purpose is. Today, live your life with purpose. Take advantage of everything that is being offered to you. For the path you are on is filled with wonderful opportunities that will move you further along your journey.

Our life's purpose may take us anywhere in the world...

(It's taken me a long time to understand that my life's purpose is not my career or what I love to do. It's who I'm becoming to be.)

Be True To Your Intentions

There are times in life when others will question your intentions. At that time, you may begin to question yourself as to why you chose to take the action you did. When we do or say things, we often times do it without a lot of thought. It's when we are challenged that we tend to review our actions. When we live with intention, we live with purpose and direction. By better understanding ourselves, it becomes clearer as to why we do the things we do. So when the time comes and others challenge our intentions, we know in our heart that our actions come from a place of compassion. It is with pure thoughts that we can respond to others. We won't have to defend ourselves for believing what we know to be true. If we live with good intentions and compassion for others, there is no need to entangle ourselves with the fears that hold others prisoners. Today, live with good intentions. Be aware that there will be someone who will need your help. Assist this person by listening with a gentle heart and sharing with them kind and healing words.
There will always be those, who will challenge your actions. Send them loving thoughts and continue living your life with true intentions.
We can live a life of good intentions no matter where we live...

(Sometimes I think it's easier living with good intentions when life is a little easier, but I guess that's where the test comes in. If it were that easy than what kind of life would it be. I have to think about this a little bit more.)

Beacons Of Lights

During our lifetime, we will meet people who will directly impact our spirit. Sometimes when we happen to encounter those who we feel an extra closeness to, there is an instant bond that makes us feel as if we have met a kindred spirit. Although it may be only for a few minutes, it's as if we were meeting an old friend whom we hadn't seen in such a long while. That's why there is such a loss when we lose contact with these special people. It doesn't matter whether it was just for moment or for a longer period of time, it saddens our heart when these people are gone from our lives . Although it's sometimes difficult to understand what the purpose was to meet them, we know whatever the reason it was significant. It's as if we are directed to these beacons of light who are supposed to remind us of our journey and then see us on our way. They warm our spirit with their messages and then leave us to continue on our path. Today, be aware of all the beacons of light in your life. Appreciate and be grateful of the time that you are able to spend with them. Treasure the moments and the insights that they bring. Let the beacons of light shine your path so brightly, so that your journey is that much clearer.
Let's just enjoy what life brings...

(Life moments are so fleeting and my memory is really bad, so I truly have to enjoy the moment because I'll probably forget it soon enough. I guess that's what they mean by live for the moment because a minute later it's gone.)

Living In An Impersonal World

For many of us, we have become so dependant on using technology to communicate with others that it would be incomprehensible not to have daily access. But in bringing these tools into our lives, we are losing the fine art of conversation. We have bought into the marketing hype with the excuse that this is the wave of the future, making communicating with others easier and more convienent. But what have we done, except make our relationships less personal. It's so easy for us to misunderstand others, when we read a text or email because we're unable to hear their voice or see the expression on their faces. So why have we become addicted to devices that keep us from getting emotionally closer to people. Know that although it may seem to be more convenient to use these devices, we begin to miss the special connection we feel when we actually speak to one another. The energy that is created between people at that moment is magic. Today, limit your use of your communication device. Know that your life will survive without the use of these devices. Make a committment to verbally communicate once a day with a person, who matters in your life. Nurture your relationships by making a committment to call or be with your friends and loved ones, instead of letting technology replace the precious time we have with one another.
Texting about your first experience walking through a labyrinth,
just doesn't do it justice.

(It's difficult to explain the peace and serenity you feel when you walk through a labyrinth. Although I was told how reflective I could become, I didn't understand until I did it myself. It was a very quieting moment.)

Be Still

During the moments when our life is filled with chaos, it is important that we be still. For if we are quiet enough and listen very carefully, we will hear our inner spirit direct us as to what needs to be done to create peace amongst the disruption. It is natural for our life to be filled with both challenging and rewarding times. Both of these moments can teach us so much, if we can also learn to be still when life gets uncomfortable. We'd like to fight or retreat when our life becomes trying, but that's when in the stillness we find serenity. Know that our spirit shines like a beacon in the dark guiding our way, when we are at peace. Today, be still. Although your life may be busy, take a few moments throughout the day to take a few deep breaths. Sometimes in moving too quickly you lose valuable opportunities to learn more about yourself. Be still and appreciate the day.
It's not difficult to be still when walking this path...

(Sometimes I need to listen to what I tell others. It's so much easier to know what is best, then to actually commit to doing it yourself. The act of stilling one's mind is challenging when you're moving in so many directions. But when I do become still, all seems so clear.)

Expecting The Unexpected

Sometimes it may be better for us to plan for the unexpected, for when it happens we receive our greatest gifts. Although this would seem like an odd thing to do, when we open ourselves to the universe flow we never know what may come our way. How can we plan every step of our journey, when part of the journey is to just enjoy walking on our path? Let us live our life expecting the unexpected. Today, be joyful of all that comes your way. Be open to the unexpected and the unfamiliar that will bring you so many opportunities. You are blessed with all that the universe has to offer.
Someitme it's okay to stray away from the path, for in doing so you may find the unexpected...

(Today, I had an "aha" moment. Nothing should surprise me anymore but meeting someone from Hawaii at the workshop I was presenting at in Seattle was still surprising. So much to share and it was meant to be. Funny how that turns out to be.)

It's Time To Rest

Sometimes when we think that everything is going well, we get sidelined unexpectedly with an illness. That is one thing that we have no control over. Although we may fight against being sick, it becomes more and more difficult when our bodies refuse to listen to us. No matter how much we want to believe that we are in control of our life, our body has a mind of it's own. When it's time to rest, we have to rest. Instead of fighting what is inevitable, why don't we just get in bed and leave the world behind to solve it's own problems. Know that when we rest our body, our mind becomes much more clearly. Today, listen to your body. If it's time to rest, then make yourself comfortable. The universe will wait for you as you recover.

Maybe if I'm really quiet, no one will notice how long I'm sitting here...

(It's funny how driving 3 hours from Portland to Seattle in the pouring rain seems to feel more like 6 when you're coughing and blowing your nose the whole way. There is never a good time to get sick. Now is definately not the best time.)

Apologizing Without Regrets

For some of us, saying "I'm sorry" may be one of the most difficult things to do. The fear of losing control may keep us from seeing our mistakes for what they are...a learning experience. To have others think less of us is painful and we work hard to keep others at a distance so there is no possibility that we will be rejected. In fact, being vulnerable is a very uncomfortable place for us to be. But it is our path in life to experience all emotions, including learning to trust and have faith that you deserve to be loved and supported. Know that by saying "I'm sorry" is the one of the first steps of opening ourselves to be accepted as we truly are. Today, see yourself as others see you and appreciate all that you are. Live life with good intentions and know that it's okay to make mistakes. You will still be loved.
Maybe if I wear the right glasses, I'll be able to see more clearly...

(I understand that it's hard for people to say, "I'm sorry", but when I hear it I feel as if they have not only gotten over their fear of being rejected but they have open their hearts to trust that I won't hurt them. What a beautiful thing when that happens. Yeah, finally!!!)

When Life Happens

Sometimes we get into the habit of letting life pass us by because we're waiting for something better to come along. In doing this, we miss out of the things that make life so special. We may think that we know what we want but unless we take advantage of all that is offered to us how would we know what is best for us. Opening ourselves to the opportunities that surround us may be difficult, when we have our eyes open to only what is familiar. Know that it is worthwhile to take a chance on life, for in that moment miracles abound. Let life happen and see where your path leads you. Today, let the child within you come out to play. When you look at the world with innocence, all is possible. When life happens, you begin to see your path much for clearly.
When we open our eyes, a whole new world opens up...

(It's so interesting to see so many sea life up close. I'm usually not an ocean person, but looking at these sea creatures was unusual. Watching them move was even more strange.)

It's A New Day

No matter what has occurred yesterday, today is a new day. We have an opportunity to start anew. To accomplish what we couldn't finish, to gather the courage to meet what comes our way, and to release the fears that have prevented us from achieving what we seek. No matter how challenging our days have been, if we change our approach to the situation, we will change our future. Each day we have the opportunity to learn from our past mistakes and to do better. We have everything we need to attain our heart's desire if we walk down our path with determination and committment. Today, appreciate the 24 hours that you have been given. Use the time wisely. Be loving and kind to yourself and others. Seek the peace and serenity that you  search, for in the quietness you will clearly hear your inner voice gently guiding you through your day.

Everyday we never know how many blossoms will bloom...

(Sometimes life gets so overwhelming, but it makes me feel better to know that it's up to me how I decide how I want the day to be. And today, I ask for a happy day and to be surrounded by loving and compassionate people. It's time to open myself to all the angels who have been waiting patiently to guide me through my life's journey.)

Believing In Yourself

It seems no matter how far along on our journey we have traveled, there are still times in which we question ourselves. Doubts of who we are, slip in our minds at the strangest times. Just when we think that everything is insinc and we are flowing with the universal energy, we start to wonder if we really are doing as well as we feel we are. What begins as a quiet whisper, soon spirals out of control which then leaves us paralyzed. We question our abilities and lose the confidence that we once had. It is only when we stop and become quiet within ourselves will we hear our inner spirit. It's soft voice reminds us that we are who we have become based on our past expriences. We are strong because we have overcome the fears that have blocked our way in the past. Know that once we believe in who we are, we can achieve anything. Today, trust in yourself. The path of which you journey on may not be clear, but it is yours to walk. You are unique, so let your spirit lead you towards your destiny.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm where I'm supposed to be...

(It's funny how much confidence I have when I'm by myself. It's when I talk to people who make me feel bad about myself that I begin to feel as if I have nothing to offer. Well, it's time to move on. I have a purpose in this life and I don't have time to feel sorry for myself. There is so much work to be done.)

Honest Emotions

The journey we all take in becoming the person we were meant to be, is a long and challenging one. It is filled with many twists and turns that we sometimes want to stop because it seems too difficult. As much as we try to be compassionate to all, we are still human and with that comes honest emotions that reflect what we truly feel. Sometimes not all emotions are positive and we may feel guilty when we have feelings of anger, frustration, and jealousy towards another person. But know that our emotions express where we are at the moment. We no longer can hide behind the facade that we have created. It's with these emotions that we move forward on our path, learning more about ourselves and each other every step we take. Know that when we are honest with ourselves, we will be the compassionate beings that we strive to be. Today, listen carefully to what your emotions are trying to tell you. They are another way that your inner spirit communicates with you. Take an honest look at your emotions for they will guide you in making the right decisions.
Sometimes we need to be alone to hear ourselves think...

Having Courage

Sometimes it's frightening when our heart leads us into situations that bring out our deepest fears. We have the best intentions to help others or to move ourselves forward on our path, but once there we look around us and see only the unfamiliar. What have we done? Trying to remember what our intention  was is sometimes difficult. But now that we are here, we need to find the strength within us to stay where we are supposed to be. It's with trepidation that we move forward. With courage slowly growing within us, we take the next few steps with growing confidence. We have not fallen yet. At the end of our journey, we will see hindsight that our heart leads us to places that our consciousness would never have dared let us go. Know that unless we have the courage to move forward we will live a life always missing a piece of who we could have been. Today, let your spirit soar. Go forward with courage within your heart. For you have all within you to seek your heart's desire. Follow the path that you were meant to be on.
Don't let others decide your future,
you know within your heart the path you need to follow...

(Sometimes my life gets so busy that I have difficulty hearing what my spirit is trying to tell me. It would be so much easier just to let others tell me what I should do with my life, but then the universe reminds me of the journey which I need to be on...)

Accepting Changes

It is difficult for some of us to accept the changes that we've asked for. In our minds, we are clear in wanting to receive what we need to move forward in our life. But when we receive what we have asked for, we are not sure that this is truly what we want. Accepting what is being given to us means that we may also have to change what is so familiar to us. It brings our fears closer to us and we may not be prepared to overcome them at this time. So we hesitate in making any changes for the time being. Know that there is a reason that we seek change, if not to continue on our path trusting that all will be well. Today, accept the changes that you've asked for with graciousness. With changes come new opportunities that will lead you further on your path. When you open your arms to all that you deserve you will experience the life you have wished for. Your destiny awaits you, but change must occur first.
We accept the changes that occur in nature, so why can't we accept the changes in our life as easily...

Clearing Our Mind

With all that is going on in the world, your mind is cluttered with all that is not necessary. If one is to receive the peace and serenity that needs to exist in one's heart then you need to release all that is not needed. We are here to help you on your journey, but you block all that is here to support you. It is with compassion and love that we are here, waiting for you to accept what is. Although you must live in the world as you perceive it to be, you can also live in a world that is all compassionate. It is only how you perceive things to be. It is a world filled with both, hate and love. It's what you decide the world to be. Today, open your heart to all that is possible. Clear your mind of what is bothering and be at peace. Follow the light of your inner spirit and you will find that the world is everything that you expected it to be.

Everyday we have the opportunity to create the life we've only dreamed of...

(Although it's difficult to clear my mind of clutter I've collected during the day, I know it's an important thing to do. Otherwise how can I meet the new day with optimism.)

We Are All Teachers

When asked who was our favorite teacher, we may refer to someone who we feel has had a great deal of influence in our education or personal growth. The person we mention would probably have been someone who we not only remember for the subject they taught us, but their continuing support in our endeavors. We can recall these people fairly quickly because they are remembered with fondness. But if it's true that everyone we meet and interact with has influenced us in some manner, than wouldn't it be safe to say that everyone could be considered our teacher. It doesn't matter whether our experience was positive or negative or the length of time their contact was with us, we learn something from everyone. And in turn, we teach others and impact their life. Today, when you are interacting with others remember your role as a teacher. What will be your contribution to your students? You have an opportunity everyday to impact others, make it count. Be the teacher that you remember with fondness.
Sometimes our friends turn out to be the best teachers...

(D-thank you so much for teaching R the basics to paddle boarding. We had a blast. Okay, she had a blast. I enjoyed sitting on the beach. At 6:45 am, everything is calm and peaceful before we start our crazy day.)

Making Ourselves A Priority

Sometimes it seems impossible for us to get off of life's fast track. Before we know it, we find ourselves running out of time every day. There always seems to be things left undone because of the endless tasks that we create. Although we try to schedule time for ourselves, it seems as if we always have other things that take precedent. It's not until we get physically or emotionally burnt out, do we take notice of how life has gotten so unbalanced. If we were to commit to taking care of ourselves as much as we commit to other things, it wouldn't be a problem. But since we have difficulty doing this, it is important that we consciously make caring for ourselves one of our main priorities. Know that when we are in good health, the universal energy flows through us more easily and everything falls into place. Today, reflect upon how you can make yourself a priority. Take a moment out of your busy schedule to do something special for yourself. By nurturing your body and spirit, you open yourself to all the possibilities that await you.

Nothing is better than talking story with friends...

(Although I know I should take time for myself, sometimes it's difficult when I'm busy. But seeing these guys on their boards was one of the most relaxing things I've ever seen. I could take lessons from them.)

Releasing What Is Not Yours To Keep

How many of us have experienced saying something to someone but are left with the feeling that we've either not being heard or what we said didn't matter? For a moment, we may feel hurt that we've been ignored or disregarded. Then immediately afterwards, we do a quick self check to make sure that what we were saying was appropriate and within the context of the conversation or are we just boring conversationalists. Then assuring ourselves that we were making sense and we're not a boring person, we then get upset. How dare the other person not pay attention to what we are saying or put us in a position that we are questioning ourselves? At this point, we need to stop and take a breath before we slide down a slippery slope of self destruction. Know that it is important to release the anger and frustration for it is not ours to keep. What we say is important and as long as it was said with good intention and it doesn't do harm to ourselves and others, it is up to them to either accept it with graciousness or not. We will not let others control our good nature. Today, think before you speak. Take the time to process your thoughts. Are you coming from a compassionate place?  Do not give others permission to mislead you from what you know to be true. You are unique and what you have to say is important. You are part of the universal energy that flows within us all.

Hey wait up, I'm not done talking to you...

(I'm not sure about goats. They are like cats, they have minds of their own. They are strange animals.)

What Is My Purpose In Life

How many of us ask ourselves the question, "What is my purpose in life?" ? For most of us, it may only be a rhetorical question that we ask ourselves when we are feeling that there is something missing in our life. It's a very good question, when reflecting upon ourselves and wondering if we are living the life we are meant to. But how many of us truly expect to receive a response and where would it come from. We may not be thinking too deeply about what kind of response we would receive, for if we did, we may not pose this question too often. Can you imagine what the response could be? What if it was to live a selfless life, would we be up to the challenge and forsake our comfortable lifestyle while giving to others? Would we be willing to overcome our fears and the walls we worked so hard to erect that keep ourselves safe from the unknown? Know that when we ask questions that will move us forward on our path, the compassionate universe will respond to you in ways you could have never imagined. Today, be open to your purpose in life. Let the universal energy flow through you and lead you on your journey. If you quiet your mind, you will be able to hear the answers to your questions. Trust that your inner spirit will be able to discern the messages you receive and help you to understand more clearly your purpose in life.
Finding a quiet spot to sit for awhile helps us to think more clearly...

(On the Lavender Farm, there are so many quiet spots to rest comfortably. If I only had more time, it would be a perfect place to write. I wonder if they have wifi.)

Searching For Answers

Why are we always searching for answers to questions that we are afraid to hear the truth? We should know by now that when we ask, the answers will come. Then what will we do when we've received the information that we've asked for. Do we begin to take action and move forward or do we pretend not to have heard what we don't want to hear. Is it curiosity that makes us ask these questions that we have no intention on acting upon? Or is it a sense of fatalism that makes us open to things that we know may hurt us. Although the universe is compassionate, know that it has a way of answering us in many ways that aren't going to be familiar to us. Be open to all this year. Today, reflect upon the answers that you have already been given. Have you incorporated what you've learned in your life or have you put it aside as you become more comfortable with the information. Know that the answers you receive may take a while to resonate within you. So let your inner spirit guide you in asking questions that you are ready to hear, for the answers may ultimately change your life. Go forward knowing that all will be well no matter what question you may ask.
We can sit all day but still not understand...

(There are days when I get the answers to questions I've forgotten I've asked. I sometimes think that's how it works. I pose a question to the universe, it goes through their mailing system, and the department handling the subject finally gets back to me in their own time. By then I wonder why I asked the question in the first place. But the answers are so perfect that I have to believe that I'm receiving them when I'm supposed to.)

Wanting More

For many of us, we work hard in creating a life that we envision for ourselves and our family. We may not be able to describe exactly what kind of life this would be, but we do know that what we have right now is not what we want. When we reflect upon our life, we can only see the many things that are missing from it. How can we find true happiness, if our life is spent searching for things that seem just beyond our reach? In the process of always wanting more, we are losing our self. There is no time to reflection when we are forever striving for more. We begin to lose value in ourselves and life because what we think we want, we never seem to obtain. If we stop to reflect upon what it is that brings us true happiness, we may find that it is not a matter of buying more material things, but discovering that the answers to our questions have always been within us all along. Today, find your bliss. Let your inner spirit lead you to the life you want to create. By experiencing the simple pleasures that surround you, your heart will be filled with joy and happiness. You will never have to look no further than within yourself to find the life you envisioned.
If you don't need a chime, don't buy it...

(There was a sales person outside this store telling a customer why she had to buy a chime. Not knowing the customer or if she already had a chime, the sales person told her that it was good "Feng Shui" and will bring lots of luck. Always the skeptic, I wondered if she bought more than one chime would that increase her luck. I didn't wait to see if she bought it, but it did make me stop and think how many chimes do I have at home.)

Standing Up For Yourself

For many of us, we have difficulty standing up for what we believe in. It's not that we don't believe in many things, but when put to the test we prefer to be silent. Sometimes it's difficult sharing ourselves with others because we don't want to draw attention to ourselves. What if they don't agree with us or want to challenge us. In being silent, we not only do harm to ourselves but we are deceiving others as well. In order for us to continue moving forward on our journey, we need to move outside our comfort zone. If we don't express ourselves, we are not presenting our true selves to others. How will they know who we really are and what will they learn from us if all we do is agree with their perspective? How do we learn to communicate effectively with others if we fear controversy? We are who we are based on what we learn from others. Today, stand up for what you believe in. Let others know in a quiet and respectful way, what you know to be true. You are a unique person and what you have to say is important. It is time to take the next step on your journey towards self discovery.

Experience life by opening yourself to different things...

(I'm not sure what these were but I thought they were cute. I guess art is whatever the artist intends it to be. Life is a little like art. It's whatever we'd like it to be. I guess that's why life can get kind of crazy at times and hard to explain.)

Priorities In Life

Usually when we talk about what is important to us in life, we are referring to the people who matter the most to us. They are an integral part of who we are and are becoming. If this is the case, then why when we make decisions do we have only our best interests in mind. Our initial thoughts may not take into consideration how our decisions may affect those that we love, but how it benefits us. Although we walk our path alone, we are never alone on our journey. Our decisions directly and indirectly impact those around us, especially those who we care about. For most of us, when we don't include others in our thought process until after we've made a decision, we run into problems because it's not in our best interest to make decisions based on ourselves alone. We are a part of a community and everything we do affects each other. Today, reflect upon your thought process when making decisions. Do you take into consideration others when deciding what to do or are they an afterthought? It is important to include others because they will help you in determining what your answer will be. Know that life decisions aren't that difficult when we remember that we are not alone.

It's difficult as is to decide what we want, but to think what others might want is overwhelming...

(Not only did I need to choose a flavor for the shave ice, but then they wanted to know what I wanted in it. Too many choices for me, so I usually go with rainbow (all the flavors) and creme. It's decadent but it's so good.)

The Gift Of Life

Many of us go through life thinking that there are those who are blessed and are born under a lucky star. It seems as if everything they desire is handed to them without struggle. Their life path seems paved without the large boulders that sometimes block our way. How would it feel to journey through life with such ease? Although it may seem that there are only a few who have stars to light their way, if we were to look up in the sky we would see that we all live under the same sky. We are so busy looking at others and how they live that we forget that we were all blessed with the same gift when we were born. We were all given the gift of life and are lucky to have the opportunity every day to make our lives better. Today, do something special for yourself. Celebrate how lucky you are to have the opportunity every day to journey on your path and experience life. You are definately born under a lucky star!

Sometimes when the light shines on us just right, our beauty is revealed...

(This plant doesn't seem to be so special. In fact, I would have walked right by it. But when I turned to look at a beautiful protea, the clouds opened up and the sun shined upon this plant. Under the sunlight, the leaves glow. It's was like I was looking at a different plant. It was spectacular. And to think I could have missed how special it was.)

Quiet Faith

For many of us, faith may not be a word that we think about often when trying to keep afloat while attending to our daily life. We tie ourselves up with responsibilities and obligations that we have no time to think beyond what is in front of us. We live life the best we can, making sure that we've completed what tasks we've set out to do by the end of the day. Although there are days that seem more challenging than others, we somehow make it through without harm. Then there are moments that turn our world upside down. When we feel that we can't handle what has been thrown to us and we're lost for answers. That's the time, when faith gently appears between our fears and worry. Knowing that though we are going through a difficult time and we have little control over the future, things will some how work out. Having faith that we are being supported and loved no matter what is happening in our life. Today, reflect upon the strength of your faith. How has it seen you through adversity and times of confusion? Be comforted knowing that the faith you have within you, will always be a gentle source of strength to light your way through the most difficult times of your life.

Somehow the path seems easier
when we take our time and enjoy the journey...
