Challenging Yourself

How much more can you do? Isn't that a question that you've asked when you thought that you've given all that you can? You push yourself so hard, trying to meet all of your goals. But yet something is still missing. What else is there? You're living what you envisioned and you've worked hard to be here. But somehow there feels like there is something more. Take a deep breath, for there is more for you to do. It's time to challenge yourself to open up to what the universe has planned for you. Now that you've done all that you set out to do, get ready to do more. You have much more in you that needs to be touched. If you could see what the universe has in store for you, you would be amazed at what awaits you
What message do you have for me today...

(It's time to let go. My plans aren't working, so I have to give up controlling what is not mine. When life doesn't make sense anymore, it's time for the universe to take over and guide me to a safe place. That's easier said than done, but I have to let go.)

Letting Your Spirit Fly Ahead Of You

Sometimes when you get so busy with your life, it's difficult to hear the spirit within in. You are in control of your life and have a plan which you are sticking to. Everything is going your way or at least it seems to. Then one day you wake up and your plans go awry. Things just aren't the way that you envisioned. How can things turn around in seconds? If you were listening to the whispers in your ears that have been telling you to slow down or to reflect on your plans, you may have seen things coming. The universe sends you messages in many ways, one way is through your dreams or random thoughts. It's up to you to take a moment to listen or to question the information that is being passed to you. In life, your spirit will want to fly to places that you've never been to or to venture beyond where you are at the moment. Let it go for it's that special part within you that will get you to your heart's desire faster than you can. It's time to let your spirit fly.
So strange, but so beautiful...

(What would happen if my spirit leaves me? If it decides to go on a reconnaissance and comes back with information that I have no knowledge about. Would that be good for me? I'll have to think  about this a little more.)

What Are You Grateful For?

It's that time of year, when you stop to reflect upon all the blessings that you have in your lifeAlthough Thanksgiving may be a day that is designated as a day to give thanks, shouldn't you consider every day as a day of thanks. As the holiday season begins, give thanks to all the special moments that it will bring. And as you go through the season, take a moment to remember all those who are still in need. You can be the blessing that those less fortunate can be thankful for.
It's nice to share special moments with those that you love...

(Thanksgiving is truly a day of reflection. To not only acknowledge the blessings I have, but to give thanks. Sometimes these moments come and go so quickly that I forget to stop and enjoy the present. For today, I will leave my worries at the door and enjoy the moment with the people I love.)

If You Could Start Again

If you had a chance to do things over again, would you? Are you living in the past, trying to relive what could have been? No matter how much you try, it's frustrating knowing that what ever you said or did can't be redone. You live every day with the consequences of your action. Although you know better now and won't make the same mistakes, it's difficult to erase the memories of things that didn't go exactly as you had planned. All the tears you've shed won't fix the past. But know that you can do better now. You can be the person who is aware of how past mistakes can impact your life. You are who you are because of all the experiences you've gone through, so move on without regrets. Live with compassion and respect for all others including yourself. Although you're not able to start again, you can start from where you are.

A moment to relive...

(I'm not sure if I ever wanted to start anything over again. The first time seems hard enough. Every opportunity I get I want to do things better. Starting again means making mistakes but in a different way. Instead of starting over, I'd like to experience things again and again and again.)

Rising Above

There are times in life when everything seems to be going as planned. You are happy where you are in the moment and feel that you’re accomplishing what you’re supposed to be doing. Life has always had its challenges and you have overcome them all. Now it’s time to enjoy the blessings that surround you. But what if something happens that has you wondering, what more do they want of me.  You thought you were giving all that you were capable of. It’s during these times, that our spirit somehow rises to the occasion, above even what we thought was possible. Know that your ability to meet the challenges that you face is beyond even what you could ever imagine. Trust that you are always where you are supposed to be.

You can't help but feel good when you walk on the beach...

(As long as I'm able to get up in the morning, I know I can rise up and overcome anything. When I'm in doubt, I go within myself. My friend always said "Fake it, till you make it." So here I go faking it, because I know I'll make it.)

We Believe In You

How many times have you doubted yourself? Are you doing the right thing? How may mistakes have you made? The more that you question yourself, the more confusing it seems to get. You begin to second guess yourself and wonder if any of the decisions that you're making are correct. How long has it been since you've been going through this period of indecision? If it hasn't been too long, check out your situation. What is going on that has changed? Be honest with yourself, for this is not the person who you have become. Centering yourself and getting a firm stance is what is needed. There are times when everyone has these moments and it may just be happening to you. So know that you are still the strong person you were yesterday with a clear sense of where you are going. And remember that we believe in the person you are meant to be.
There is a beautiful world waiting for you...

(It's difficult for me to get a good foothold when I've been knocked off my foundation. Talk about thinking on your feet. If I didn't believe that the universe has a plan for me or that I am where I'm supposed to be, I would cry. But since I do, I will persevere. When I see pictures like this, it reminds me that there is a beautiful world out there.)

How Much Have You Learned?

You are so proud of yourself. You've grown so much and have overcome adversity. Bad habits and fears seem to be part of your past. There has been so much that you've gone through and you are not who you were. You've surrounded yourself with loving and caring people. They are there to nurture you and support you. Being comfortable with you who have become is an important moment for you. Then one day, you find yourself facing your past. All the ugliness and drama that you once lived through is staring you in the face again. Instinctively you're back exactly where you were. The confidence and strength that you have disappears and you are standing alone again. The thought of going back is frightening. You tell yourself that you are not without defenses and you should know better, but how quickly it disappears when confronted with all that you ran away from. So how much have you really learned? Know that you are not who you were. Although it seems so, you will not react the same for very long. What you have learned can not be ignored. Acknowledge and be grateful for all that you have learned from the past because it has made you who you are today, a beautiful spirit who has survived.
Wake up and celebrate a new beginning...

(I am not the person who I was yesterday. Though it seems that I take two steps forward and ten steps back. I know that I am not the person who I was yesterday. Only I can protect myself and do what is right for myself. M - thank you for giving me the strength to remember how special I am and  that there are people who love and care for me.)

It's Okay To Change Your Mind

You work so hard to reach your goals and attain your heart's desire. In fact, it may take years before you finally get to your destination. And during this time you are changing, you are not the person you were yesterday. So what happens when your goals and desires change because you are no longer the person you were. As we evolve, so do our goals and desires. It's about being honest with yourself and what you truly want. Lift your arms in the air and claim what you want at this moment. It's not better or worse than what you desired before, it just reflects who you are at this time.
Let's do this before I change my mind...

(Sometimes I hold on to things so tightly that when I let them go, there is still an impression on my palms. It's wanting things to change but knowing how scary that can be. I trust that whatever path I choose, it will be the right one for me.)

Keeping All Your Balls In the Air

Sometimes it seems that life keeps throwing things at you, while you're still juggling what you already have on your plate. It seems impossible, how are you to handle more than what you're doing at this time. But as time passes by, you see that you took care of all that you needed to. How is that possible? Are you able to do more than you think? Are you underestimating your capabilities and potential? The universe has a plan for you that is beyond what you can even envision. So when things are thrown at you in life, don't cringe but laugh out loud. You'll get so good at juggling that keeping all your balls in the air will be just another thing that you'll take in stride.
Can I choose any lane...

(Yesterday, I thought life was crazy but today my car battery actually died and I had to rent a car for the day, my face was in pain because of the air pressure, my tooth cracked in half after eating a salad, and the store ran out of stuffing for Thanksgiving. This was so ridiculous I had to laugh. I'm not sure where I'll begin tomorrow, but I think it'll be with a big smile.)

Holding On

Sometimes life moves so quickly that it makes you dizzy. There is so much to do in such little time, you don't know how you'll do it all. But you seem to be able to. There isn't time to think about what is going wrong or how you can do it better. Things just have to turn out because you only get one chance to get it right. The best ideas come out of quick thinking and trusting your gut instincts. It's holding on and trusting that you'll make all the right decisions. In life, enjoy what comes your way for it's your time to shine.
Sit with me and enjoy the sunset...

(Things are moving so quickly, but I'm enjoying every minute of my life right now. It's crazy because my car needs repair, I'm late with some of my assignments, and need to lose a few pounds. But I'm happy because I know it's my time.)

Celebrating A New Life

Whenever you think that life isn't what you'd thought it would be, look around and see the blessings that surround you. Although it may sound like a cliche that every day brings a new opportunity, it truly does. If life isn't giving you what you think you deserve, then why are you waiting for things to come to you. Get moving, do something, take action. It's time to stop feeling sorry for yourself and grab life for all it can offer. You have the same amount of time to make things happen as the person next to you that you feel has everything. Why them and not you? The universe offers everyone an abundant life, it's just a matter of how much you want it. It's time to celebrate a new life, a life that has always been yours to claim.
Go ahead and choose one...

(Why stop at one? I can remember when I would just look in the window and think "Wow, those look so good." but then I would move on. Now, I go in the store and take my time filling my senses. Then I may buy one just because. I have found that when I do things that make me happy, then life is not so bad. - M and T, Congratulations on your new baby. He's so beautiful. I can't wait to meet him.)

Opening The Door To Opportunity

How many doors need to open before you walk through one of them? In life you have had so many opportunities come before you, but if you walk around with your eyes closed you will miss all of them. Then you tell others that everyone but you has a fortunate life. If you can't see what is in front of you, how do you expect to see the blessings that surround you. When you live your life always grumbling about what you don't have, you will never accept that the universe is filled with abundance. It's as if you see your life as a half empty glass, which will never overflow with what your heart desires. It's time to look at life differently, open the door that has your name on it and just walk on through. Believe that opportunity waits for you there.
Spend the day with me...

(It seems as if I walk through one door and another opens. I'm not sure when opportunity became stepping stones that guide me on my path. I am living my destiny.)

Accepting What Is

It's time to open your eyes and see what is in front of you. You've been denying the truth and telling yourself that everything will get better. But what if what exists is all that there is. There is nothing you can do to make it any different. Is it your responsibility to change what is not yours? You can control only so much, but to change others to be what you'd like them to be is an impossible task. It hurts to know that what you've been working so hard to ignore is still there. The picture hasn't changed, but you have. It's time to accept what is. To acknowledge and respect others for who they are, not who you'd like them to be. Now it's time to decide what are you going to do? Whatever you decide, know that you can only live the life you were meant to lead if you are honest and truthful to yourself. Life can be as peaceful and happy as you have wished it to be, if you decide that is what you want.
Everyday is a new beginning...

(I believe in new beginnings. I believe that the universe has a plan for me. I believe that I deserve to be happy and joyful. I am changing everyday.)

What Is Your Truth?

There are so many parts of you that even you aren't familiar with. What you present to others may not be the true you. There are facets that you hide even from yourself. When asked what is your truth, do you even know? The answer you give may be only what you know today. Tomorrow or the next day after that, your answer may differ. The truth as you know is what you experience as of this moment. And in that moment, it is being the person who you believe yourself to be. When you live your truth, it may be as close to being who you truly are. Know that your truth is a reflection of who you are.
It's okay to get wet...

(Let me live my truth, no matter what it is. For that is who I am at this moment.)

Letting Go

There are times in life when you question why things aren’t flowing so easily for you. You’ve asked the Universe for help and you are still waiting for something to happen. It feels as if you are alone and no one is listening to your pleas. But for a moment, reflect upon whether you truly believe that opportunities are waiting for you. Are you holding on to your fears so tightly that they now seem safer than trusting that everything will be all right? Sometimes it’s easier to believe that life is not as bright as everyone imagines and good fortune is for everyone but yourself. With your arms held closely around you, there is no room for anything else. It’s time to let go of your negative attitude for you deserve more. Every day brings a new opportunity for you, so open your arms and embrace all that you were meant to have.

Enjoy life by eating the things you love...

((I’m not sure if it’s a matter of letting go of my fears or being open to what my desires are. Because if that’s the case then I’d have to identify what I want in life. I guess being open to anything that the Universe has planned is the first step to leading the life that I was meant to have.)

When Frustration Sets In

When you're feeling tired and overwhelmed, it's time to shut down for awhile. Whether it's only for a moment or for a few days, do what you need to do. It's not about time, it's about what you need to do to get back to your normal state. When you're not feeling yourself, you become irritable with life. Nothing is good enough, nothing will help you at this time to move ahead. Everything and everyone seems to be working against you. Is it them or is it you? At this point, you don't really care. Take a step away from your crazy life and take a walk. Get out into the fresh air and clear your mind of the chaos that lingers. Know that when frustration sets in, you're the only one who can make the changes that need to be done. It's okay to be out of it sometimes and to just be yourself.
Picking fruits always makes me happy...

(I don't always get frustrated, but I do get tired. And when I do, I get illogical and cranky. I know myself enough to know that I need to get away from people otherwise I'm not a happy camper. I think it comes down to the better you know yourself, the better you can be to others.)

Saying What You Mean

It's funny how often you say things just to keep the peace. Not wanting to hurt anyone's feeling or call attention to yourself, you may find it safer not to say anything at all. So is it better to remain quiet or to say something just to be a part of the conversation. It's your call, but are you really being truthful to yourself. How uncomfortable would it be if you were to share what you're really thinking? Being respectful to others, yet expressing how you really feel. Know that most people are open to what you have to say. So take a moment to decide how important it is to let others know what your thoughts are. Remember that everyone has wisdom that someone else can benefit from.
Even the stream needs to go through rough terrain...

(I'm guilty of not sharing what I feel. In theory, I understand that we all have something to contribute, but it depends on the conversation that is already taking place or what others are feeling at the time. If the other person is hurting, I may just be there to listen. I'm still learning when to share.)

Finding Joy When You Least Expect It

There are times when you get so busy, that you tend to overlook what is right in front of you. You are so focused on what needs to be done that your priorities get mixed up. You forget about everything around you because you're concentrating so hard on your responsibilities. Balancing life has taken a back seat to achieving your goals. Spending time with family and friends sometimes is difficult when you have so much to do. Being driven to accomplish what seems to be so important doesn't leave you much time to enjoy life. Looking back, it may not be all your successes that you remember but the joyful times with your loved ones. Take a moment each day to acknowledge your blessings and take a momoent to share them with the people who matter most in your life. Joy is all around you.
Sometimes if you look hard enough, you'll see a joyful sight...

(I'm one of the those people who move quickly that I miss many things along the way. I don't take the time to look around and see what's around me, so I can't imagine all the things that go by. It's time to be mindful about how quickly I let life go by without enjoying the blessings that surround me.)

Learning From Your Mistakes

We all make mistakes. But when we keep making the same mistakes over and over it's time to take a closer look at what is going on. Avoidance seems to work, if we don't look at what is happening maybe it'll go away. It's not as if don't recognize the problem, but we may not want to fix it at this time. Doing something would mean facing who we are and it could make a bad situation worse. But that's part of what's going on. Our fears and procrastination has blown the situation out of proportion. Now is a better time than later to do what should have been done yesterday. Know that mistakes are only the universe's way of empowering us to make our life the way it was meant to be.
There are no mistakes in life...

(I'm not sure if  they should be called mistakes because most of the time I know what I'm doing. Whether it's because I'm not paying attention to my work or I'm trying to avoid doing something, all actions lead to consequences. Sometimes it's all about timing. I'm glad that the universe is patient with me on some things, otherwise I would get my butt kicked more often.)

It's Okay To Ask

There are times when life seems to be more of a struggle than usual. You're not sure how you're going to make it, but yet you persevere a day at a time. You've always gone your own way and things have turned out okay. But sometimes life could be so much simpler if you didn't have to go it alone. So why aren't you asking for help if you need it. You pride yourself for being independent, but maybe life wasn't meant to be so hard. There are many people who love and care for you. And they may have tried to help you in the past, but knowing that you'll refuse, they've stopped asking. So when you ask the universe for help, know that those around you are just angels waiting to do their job. Know that you're still the strong person you've always been, even if you ask for help.
Life seems easier when the seas are calm...

(The way I look at it is, when I need help it comes. I'm not sure how that works, but it does. The universe has a plan and if I believe that to be true, then it'll help me to accomplish what I need to do. Seems like a simple concept and if you don't think too hard about it, it makes sense.)

I'm Okay

Some days it feels as if you're just okay. There is nothing special going on with your life that you need to celebrate. But yet, nothing bad is happening either. It's one of those times that everything seems to be going right. It's during these times, that you have an opportunity to rest. It may not be the best time to make plans to change your life dramatically. But the perfect time to enjoy where you are. It's a quiet moment that may not happen all the time, but when it does come around take advantage of it. Being in perfect alignment with the universe is a great place to be.
It's comforting to know you're on the right path...

(I used to think that I always had to be in motion. In fact, it would make me nervous not having things to do. But I'm getting used to being in the moment. Learning to be still is a skill not everyone can excel at. It's knowing that I'm moving along on my path at my own speed that makes me okay with myself.)

Living With Regrets

So many people live their life with regrets. Remembering only what they feel they've missed out in life. Not living in the present, they are reminded of what they could have, should have, would have done if only. It's difficult to see what is in front of you, when you're always looking at what's behind you. Life is not built on regrets because they are so fragile and only exist in your imagination. If you were to concentrate on the blessings you have and all the possibilities that are ahead of you, you will find that all the regrets you have no longer matter.  Create a life full of hope. Knowing that today is for you to live to the fullest and tomorrow to capture all that the universe has planned for you. Leave your regrets behind you, where they belong.
Only an optimistic person would appreciate smiling fishes...

(I don't have regrets because I can't remember the past very well. I may feel bad for about a minute or two about a decision I made, but that doesn't last too longer either. I believe that where I am at is where I belong, so that doesn't make for too many regrets.)

Watching The Clouds Go By

Sometimes when you have nothing better to do, take a look at the clouds that go by. Depending on the day, they can be as fluffy as a cotton ball and on other days they can be as dark as night. The more you watch the clouds, you'll discover how they change every day. No matter what is going on in your life, the clouds continue to roll by. Because you're so busy, you never seem to have the time to enjoy their beauty. When you look at them long enough they bring a quietness and serenity to your spirit. How similar clouds are to your life. You never know what the day will be like until arrives.
What are the clouds saying to you...

(I enjoy cloud watching if only for a minute because they are so different every day. Sometimes I feel as if they are there just waiting to close the end of my day. Just waiting for me to look up say "Wow!"

Chasing Rainbows

When did you stop believing that all things were possible? Maybe it began when you were younger and were told that wishes and dreams did not get you where you wanted to go. And as you grew older the realities of life confirmed everything you were told. So here you are, afraid to believe in your dreams or make wishes for fear of the disappointment you'll face when they never come to be. But what if it was just a matter of timing and that dreams and wishes do come true but in their own time. What do you have to lose, if you were to trust that there were possibilities waiting for you. So tonight, before you go to bed, make wish for yourself then put it aside. When you say your wishes and dreams out loud, you take ownership of your heart's desire. It's time to begin believing again that the universe has a plan for you that is beyond even what you can envision.

Sometimes I think the clouds speak to me...

(I feel that part of saying what I want out loud helps me to see the bigger picture. I am content where I am at the moment, but like all things I know I'm evolving. I hardly remember my dreams, so when I do, I sit up and listen. There are messages that come in all forms. I think dreams are one way for the universe and my spirit to get my attention.)

Watching Your Step

Sometimes even if you're really careful, you still find yourself slipping and falling. The path that you walk on is not always an easy one to maneuver. There are times when you're feeling good about where you're at that you think it's okay to walk with your head held high, then all of a sudden you find yourself stumbling over the uneven ground. So what do you do? Do you walk so carefully that you never lift your head? But if you do then you'll miss so many wonderful things that are around you. So keep your head held high and look ahead for if you do, you'll always see what is coming up. It's time for you to lift your head and see all the opportunities that are awaiting.
A sight worth seeing over and over again...

(I sometimes keep my head down when I get too busy. I figure if I keep my nose to the grind, I won't be bothered by anything else. But what happens is that my heart misses all the surprises that may come my way.)

Embracing Life

Sometimes you get to a point where you either have to embrace the life you were meant to lead or turn your back and walk away. It may sound simple enough to embrace the life you deserve, but it also comes with the unknown. There are so many "what ifs" that come into play. As bad as walking away sounds, there is a sense of comfort knowing where you've been. You are familiar with all the heartaches and disappointments that you've lived through. You know what happened and how you survived. Although you may have been hurt along the way, at least you would be prepared for what is coming. So the decision is up to you. There is no right or wrong answer, only what you are willing to live with at this time. It will take a courageous spirit to take the road less traveled, but we know you are up for the challenge. It is time for you to achieve the impossible by making it possible.
Let's journey together...

(It is scary to take what life throws at me, but I know somewhere along the way I asked for it. Although it may not be as I envisioned it to be, it comes sooner or later. When life happens, I have to take a deep breathe and take the challenge as it comes.)

Letting Go

What if you were to let go of the control you have over your life? You've been holding on so tightly for fear if you let go everything will fall apart. Everything has a place in your life. Nothing is unexpected because you won't let it. Even when things don't go the way you'd like it to, you quickly pick up the pieces and make sense of the chaos. You've always thought it was a gift that you have, but what if it was more of a coping strategy? What if the fears of failure were stronger than letting go of what you can't control? What if something wonderful were to happen without you planning for it? Why don't you see for yourself, if letting go will lead to something bigger than what you could ever envision? Trust that the universe will always be there for you whether you plan or not.
Being alone doesn't mean being lonely...

(I'm not exactly sure if I could let go if I didn't trust that the universe knows better than me. It still surprises me that the universe listens to what I have to say. Things are moving so quickly that the words I say seem to scatter to the winds and turn into reality. I acknowledge and celebrate my universal plan.)
