Releasing Guilt

It's okay to enjoy yourself in life. It is easier to help others than it is to help yourself. You tend to justify why you do the things you do with explanations of why you are being kind to yourself. You are always searching for a good reason why you are taking a moment to care for yourself. Sometimes it's difficult to do things that make you happy because you feel you have to explain what you are doing. There might not even be anyone questioning your actions, but yet you still feel the need to justify yourself. It's a fine thing for you to enjoy the things you love. When you are happy, you tend to heal yourself spiritually, emotionally, and physicially. It is important to take the time to do things that are special just for yourself. There is no need to be guilty when you are serving a higher purpose. By helping yourself, you are in a better position to help others. It's time to be kind to yourself. Today, do something special for yourself. No reason, no guilt, no explanations. Take a moment to enjoy the day!
Just enjoying a beautiful day...

(I've learned alot over the years. One of the most recent lesson, is taking care of myself by indulging without a reason. Eating a piece of chocolate that is more than $2.00, taking a bubble bath with lavender scented bubbles from Kula, eating more than one creme puff from Komoda bakery because I want to and this was just today. I think part of indulging myself has been learning more about who I am and what is important to me. Taking care of myself and letting go some of the guilt that goes hand in hand with being female and Asian had something to do with holding on so tightly to what did not belong to me. There is so much more for me to learn in life.)
