When you live your life expecting too much of others, you are setting yourself for failure. Life doesn't always go the way you'd expect it to. People will disappoint you because they aren't behaving the way you think they should. There are so many things that they do that may not live up to the potential you think they have. Putting so much emotions into something that you have no control over, may be undermining your own journey. The sadness and anger can be tiring when you've worked so hard to make things better, but it doesn't matter in the long run for no one changes unless they want to. Living your life bound by what was supposed to be, closes you off to all that could be. By releasing your expectations, you may finally find a sense peace and serenity in your life. Let others be who they were meant to be and be happy for them.
Every day is a wonderful day when you're feeling good...
(I think it's human nature to have expectations of others. It's difficult not to expect someone to behavior a certain way, especially when they are close to me. It's ongoing battle within myself to let people be who they are. Sometimes I'm surprised at how good my family and friends are. The word "good" doesn't seem to be very special, but that's what comes to mind at this time. When I release my expectations, I see them for who they truly are...just really good people.)
