It's funny how sometimes we can feel alone yet be amongst so many people. During the holiday season, everyone moves so quickly that they become very insular. Each minding their own business, not bothering to look up to see if anyone needs their help. Although there may be thousands or millions of people where we live, we are still alone. Alone in our thoughts. Alone in our worries. Just alone. Our feelings are somewhat amplified the more we see everyone getting ready for the holidays. There is a feeling of being disconnected. When this happens remember that there is a time for everything, even a time to be alone. Know that where ever we may be, the people who love us and support us are waiting nearby to comfort us. Today, let it be a quiet day. If you are feeling alone, use this time to be in the moment. Care for yourself as if you were a child that needs a mother's love. Be nurturing and be supportive to your needs. Although you are feeling alone, remember that you are a child of the universe and are never truly alone.
Sometimes I do feel alone...
(Do not worry. This dog was waiting for it's master to finish swimming. It was so good. It just stood waiting in the water.)
