For some of us, instead of letting our inner spirit guide us, we let our fears immobilize us. In anticipating all the things that can go wrong, we often times close our eyes to new opportunities. We become stagnant because the stories we tell ourselves are so scary that it somehow seems safer to just avoid what we don't know. No matter what others tell us to alleviate our fears, we question their reliability. What do they know? Having fear is a good thing because it helps us to assess the current situation and plan for the future. But it can quickly turn into a detriment when it takes over our lives and prevents us from living life. Today, identify the fears that are preventing you from moving forward. Acknowledge them with respect, understand their purpose, then with inner courage open your arms to your potential.
It is only by taking a leap of faith can we see more clearly...
(Just spending the day at Kailua Beach would make anyone feel better.)
