Living a life of compassion is a lesson in itself. It's difficult to have compassion when your inital feelings are ones of frustration and anger. This especially applies when we repeatedly put our false expectations before what we know is to be true. Expecting another person to be something that they aren't, is setting ourselves up for disappointment. I guess it's a matter of accepting people for themselves, not expecting them to be who we want them to be. Living a life of compassion may be just being honest with ourselves and our feelings. Knowing that others are not our reflection, but their own. Today, look in the mirror and see what is reflected. Then think about your expectations of others. Are you accepting them for who they are? Everyone's journey is of importance, be at peace with not only yours but of others.
Can you imagine how crazy life would be if we had expectations for everyone...
