Sometimes the scariest thing is acknowledging your fears. Bringing them out into the open some how makes them more real. It’s like having a nightmare and not wanting to talk about it because you want it to just go away. But fears don’t go away. In fact, the more you keep them hidden, the more they creep up on you at the most inconvenient time. Just when you think you have gotten over them, they prevent you from moving forward on your path. In the darkest areas of you mind, they continue to multiple. Ignoring them doesn’t work, so it’s time to bring them out into the open. Acknowledging what you fear may be one of the bravest things you can do. To say out loud “This is what scares me.” and begin to slowly work through them. Overcoming your fears won’t happen overnight, but what will happen is the time you recover from being scared will become shorter. Fear has never been your enemy, but a reflection of your will to survive. You will find that as you uncover more of your fears, you free yourself to become the person you are meant to be.
A cane fire can be scary but also so beautiful…
