When you are faced with someone who challenges your values, it’s difficult to see their perspective. It may be very frustrating for you because you can’t understand where this person is coming from. How can they not see that what they are doing is wrong? But are they truly wrong or is it that both of you come from different experiences and backgrounds. At times like this, there is no reason to expend so much energy being upset for there won’t be a positive outcome trying to explain your point of view. As difficult as it may be, accept them for who they are. These moments are just to remind us of how different we all are. Appreciate that we are here to teach each other to be respectful, non-judgmental, and loving. No one is better or worse, we are who we strive to be.
