How Fast Can You Run?

Sometimes it seems that no matter how fast you run, you're never able to catch up with life. It may be that you've gotten so used to doing things so quickly that if you slowed down, you'd wonder if you're missing something. Although it's frustrating not being able to accomplish all that you'd like to do within the time you've given yourself, it can also be destructive. Stress and anxiety cause havoc within your body, mind, and spirit before you recognize the signs that you're not doing so well. By running through life, you miss all the special moments. Take care of yourself and slow down, whatever you need to do will wait until you get there.
(Running in the sand may be good exercise, but I think I'll just walk. Somehow being in the water makes all my worries go away, if just for the moment.)

Accept Me For Who I Am

Accept me for who I am today, not who I was when I was younger or who you expect me to be. For I can only be what my experiences have made me to be. I have tried to live up to other's expectations and found myself lacking. I can never measure up to something that doesn't exist. Nothing will be good enough when I am competing against someone else's vision. If all I can be is myself than that has to be what the universe wants me to be. I may not know what my future will bring, but it will be where I need to be. 
Let's walk for awhile...

(Today I observed people just enjoying being themselves. Not caring whether anyone was looking at them or not. They were just being who they are. I hope to one day live life with the care free attitude. Laughter is so contagious.)

Keeping Up The Pace

There are times that you want to run faster in hopes of keeping up with everyone else. But what if everyone is doing the same thing as you. Keeping up with others isn't as easy as it was when you were younger. Now it seems as if you've forgotten what you are running after. Keeping up the pace is about listening to what your body, mind, and spirit is telling you. It may be time to just walk for awhile until you find a peaceful place to sit and enjoy life. Live life as you wish it to be.

(I'm not sure why January was so crazy, but it seems as if life has settled down for at least a moment. I'm going to take advantage of this special time and relax. )

You Are Blessed

When everything seems to be crashing into your life and things don't make sense anymore, take a deep breath and step away from the chaos. You are the same person that you were yesterday. Life is still the way it's always been. There is just confusion in the world right now. The light continues to shine upon you. We have not lost sight of you and will always be there for you. Remember that you are blessed. No matter how bad the storm seems to be, the sun awaits for you. Today, be the person you were meant to be.
There are special places waiting for you...

(Sometimes I need to remember how blessed my life is. After the whining stops, I realize that my life is not so bad. I have an opportunity to live in a beautiful place that I love. The whales are here again for me to enjoy. No matter what else is going on, they still make me feel at peace.)

How Easy It Is To Get Lost

No matter how sure you are of yourself, there always seems to be moments that you wonder what you are doing. When life gets too comfortable you sometimes forget who you are. Following others seems easier than finding your own way. Being different or stumbling on a path less paved is difficult when your life has been walking behind others.  It's not that you don't know what's happening, but maybe you are not up to challenge at this time. You have this life and it's up to you how you want to continue. It's time to take a moment to reflect upon where you are and where you'd like to be. Remember where ever you are, that's where you need to be for the time being.
Sometimes it's better to wait for the next train...

(I may not know where I'm headed but I know when I'm not in the right place. But even to move out of where I'm at takes a lot of energy. I'm not sure how strong I am at this time. Not being sure of myself doesn't feel comfortable, but I will be in the present for it may soon change.)
