How many times have you said to another person, "If it were me, I would...."? These words usually come from a place of frustration. It is sometimes difficult for us to listen to friends and family making choices that challenge our morals and values. So we share unsolicited, but well intended advice because we are uncomfortable with the life decisions they are making. For a moment, be quiet within yourself before speaking. Clear away all judgement. What do you really wish for this person? Today, just listen quietly and ask yourself how best can I help you? Give the spirit within you time to answer this question. Sometimes when we pause for just a moment, we give ourselves permission to let others resolve their problems within their own time and in their own way.
Is there an easier path to take?
